Unisolar US64 Solar Panel
| The UniSolar US64 solar panel uses United Solar's Triple Junction amorphous thin film silicon cell technology. The result is a robust and durable but flexible and light-weight cell. Modules are encapsulated in UV-stabilized polmers (includes EVA and fluoropolymer Tefzel similar to Teflon), framed with anodized aluminum, and backed with Galvalume steel for stiffness. Bypass diodes are connected across each cell, allowing modules to continue to produce power when partially shaded. Compared to mono- and poly-crystalline modules, amorphous modules are virtually unbreakable and tolerant of both heat and shade. The UniSolar 64W solar panel is manufactured for remote area and recreational vehicle battery charging. Compared to the ES62T module, it has a higher voltage at maximum power resulting in a faster battery charging and better battery equalization. The US64 has twice the number of cells (22 as compared with 10), and as a result is twice as shadow tolerant as the ES62T. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
