Alternative Technology Association
The ATA is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes sustainable technologies and practices, energy-efficient building design, water conservation and renewable energy use. In addition to providing a range of services to members, the ATA also advocates for sustainable technologies in government and industry arenas. With branches and members around Australia and New Zealand, the ATA provides practical information, expertise and advice on conserving energy, building with natural materials, reusing, reducing the use of and recycling natural resources.
Australian Business Council for Sustainable Energy
Formed in 2002, the Australian Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) is an industry association representing the sustainable energy industry in Australia, including the renewable energy, waste-to-energy, gas-fired generation and energy efficiency industries. The BCSE has over 280 members including renewable energy system designers and installers, project developers, consulting engineers, economists, financial and legal advisors, equipment and component manufacturers and suppliers, researchers and academics, energy retailers, and energy service providers.
Centre for Sustainable Arid Towns
CSAT is a not-for-profit, research and consulting enterprise formed in 2003 as an offshoot of the Arid Lands Environment Centre. Located in Alice Springs, Central Australia, CSAT are arid zone specialists that work with government, business, communities and individuals to reduce energy and water use, improve the efficiency and income of communities and enterprises, improve the sustainability, comfort and functionality of workplaces, homes and social venues, and reduce waste/increase reuse and recycling of materials.
